Georgia R. Day

Georgia Day, founder and President of Kamama, LLC, has over twenty years experience in professional development. She gained a global perspective at an early age, visiting with guests aboard her grandparent's Chris-Craft cabin cruiser, Kamama. Kamama is a Cherokee word with several meanings. Translations include "elephant" and "butterfly" (perhaps the shape of the elephant's ear). The meaning given to Georgia's grandfather as he christened the vessel was "let me carry you on my back", possibly tying to the role of the elephant.

Georgia's background includes experience in banking, accounting, real estate, insurance and municipal utilities. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. She holds memberships in several utility-related organizations and is a member of the Entrepreneurship Institute. She is Past President of the Board of Directors for NMRC, Inc., a non-profit utility education organization, and has served as the Public Member of the Education Council of the National Association of Medical Staff Services, assisting with strategic planning and updating their Education Master Plan.

Georgia and Michael are accompanied by their Irish Wolfhound, Patrick Sean, as they explore the majesty of America, the wonderful country they are privileged to call home. Two daughters are graduates of Louisiana State University and Texas A&M University, respectively.

Michael D. Day

Michael Day, Vice President of Kamama, LLC, is in charge of financial operations and web site development. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Dallas. He has over thirty years experience in engineering, planning and project management. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas and holds an inactive Texas Real Estate Broker license.
